Medical Operations Support Specialist

Arlington, VA

Osi Vision is seeking a Journeyman Medical Operations Support Specialist to support the National Guard Bureau (NGB), Army National Guard (ARNG), Force Management Office and the Chief Surgeon’s Office. This position is located at Herbert R. Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center (TARC) in Arlington, VA. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Chief Surgeon General – Medical Operations Support  

  • Provide support to the Chief Surgeon office for the Medical Readiness mission: “To promote the Medical Readiness of the ARNG.” 

Medical Advisory Group (MEDAG) and MEDAG Executive Committee (MEDAGEC) 

  • Provide logistics support to the Medical Advisory Group (MEDAG) and the Medical Advisory Group Executive Committee (MEDAG-EC) annually. 
  • Provide logistics and track the planned projects for MEDAG strategic planning annually. 
  • Communicate and coordinate with state medical administrators to process and support MEDAG-EC membership requirements annually. 
  • Prepare, submit and coordinate MEDAG-EC travel requirements and Requests for Orders for MEDAG members monthly. 
  • Receive incoming MEDAG issues and coordinate resolution with NGB Joint Surgeon’s Office, ARNG Surgeon’s Office and State Surgeon’s Offices monthly. 
  • Coordinate with the MEDAG Chairperson, the ARNG Chief Surgeon and Deputy Surgeon to prepare and develop MEDAG-EC agendas quarterly. 
  • Receive, edit, and disseminate data from States and regions IAW the MEDAG Group Plan quarterly. 
  • Track the identified MEDAG projects, review for accuracy and formatting, and disseminate them to the MEDAG members quarterly. 
  • Capture, edit, and disseminate MEDAG meeting minutes to all MEDAG / MEDAC-EC members quarterly. 
  • Provide logistics support for quarterly MEDAG-EC meetings. 
  • Organize, disseminate, and track MEDAG issues and initiatives with MEDAG region representatives, State Surgeons, and ARNG Chief Surgeon Office staff quarterly. 
  • Edit, update and account for the MEDAG Charter and historical records annually for the MEDAG. 
  • Track the MEDAG’s Annual Strategic Initiative, review for clerical accuracy, formatting, and disseminate updates to the MEDAG members and ARNG Surgeon’s Office quarterly. 

 ARNG T-10 Medical Team 

  • Receive incoming Medical Team issues and coordinate resolution with NGB Joint Surgeon’s Office, ARNG Surgeon’s Office and State Surgeon’s Offices weekly. The contractor shall provide logistics support, and track ARNG Medical Team issues with State Surgeon’s Offices weekly. 
  • Facilitate, capture, and edit minutes for ARNG Medical Team meetings and publish historical records on CSG shared drive quarterly. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate biannual Medical Team strategic planning meetings. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate monthly Video Teleconference for the ARNG Medical Team.  
  • Provide logistics support for the annual ARNG Medical Team Conference (MTC). MTC is a national level training event that provides annual training to ARNG State Surgeons, State Dental officers, Deputy State Surgeons, Occupational Health Nurses/Specialist and unit medical readiness Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) on topics to include Medical Operations, Continuing Medical Education for providers, Preventive Medicine, Clinical Operations, Medical Logistics, and Resource Management. 

Centralized Credentialing and Privileging Preparation (C2P2) Board Support 

  • Coordinate with state medical administrators quarterly to review and confirm that each member is qualified to receive Credentialing Board membership. 
  • The C2P2 reviews packets to determine licensure qualifications for ARNG medical providers. 
  • Provide logistics support to C2P2 travel requirements and Requests for Orders for the Credentialing Board Membership quarterly. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), degree waived for 7+ years of experience. 
  • 3 to 10 years’ experience performing similar duties in a military or civilian organization. 
  • Experience with the mission and processes of the MEDAG/MEDAG-EG, ARNG Chief Surgeon, State Surgeons, State Dental Officers, Occupational Health Nurses, and unit readiness NCOs, MEDAG Charter and records, and the Centralized Credentialing and Privileging Preparation (C2P2) Board. 
  • Active Secret Clearance. 

Travel: 

  • Travel as directed to attend meetings and conduct training.
