Data Architect

Osi Vision is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our Houston team and lead enterprise data architecture initiatives for our AEC domain clients. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure data platforms, strong hands-on development skills, and proven experience designing scalable data architectures following Medallion Lakehouse principles. This role requires a strong understanding of both legacy and modern ERP systems and integration with multiple back-end platforms common in AEC and construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable data solutions on Azure cloud platform.
- Build end-to-end data pipelines leveraging Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake following Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture.
- Develop enterprise-grade data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
- Integrate data from multiple ERP systems (both legacy and modern) into unified analytical and operational data stores.
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes, including work with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and Azure Data Factory.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate into architectural designs.
- Lead the integration of large and complex datasets from diverse systems in the AEC domain.
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI and DAX.
- Oversee data governance, data quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior data engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of total IT industry experience, with at least 5+ years in data architecture roles.
- Proven experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
- Strong hands-on skills in PySpark, Python, Spark SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
- Expertise in SSIS for integration and migration between systems.
- Experience with multiple ERP systems — both legacy platforms and modern cloud-based ERP solutions.
- Expertise in building interactive dashboards with Power BI, DAX, and Tabular Models.
- Prior experience working with AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) domain datasets and business processes is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL, and real-time data streaming.
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure SQL Database, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX.
